My partner John Merriman and I just received your Nov/Dec issue. I am insulted by your page15 article by Joe Foy: “End to grizzly bear hunt cause for wild celebration”. What a load of cod’s wallop! Everyone knows the ban of this hunt is only for the Great Bear Rainforest. Somebody (!?) is making big bucks on hunting licences for killing bears everywhere else, usually under the guise of a hunt for food. No one eats grizzly meat. It’s just another sideswipe to get around trophy hunt insanity. And not a single mention of the ongoing slaughter and poisoning of wolves, at $8000 a head of OUR money, when it is definitely the destruction of habitat that is driving the caribou to destruction.
